The Health Center (THC) is an independent, non-profit school-based health facility in Walla Walla. We aim to promote students' success by addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs. We offer integrated care through medical and mental health services at no cost to students. Our clinics are located at Garrison and Pioneer Middle Schools, as well as Lincoln, and Walla Walla High Schools. Clinicians are stationed at a single clinic location.
Job Title: Behavioral Health Therapist -- School based, Summers Off

Join us! We are seeking a behavioral health therapist who approaches student care with an innovative perspective for our Lincoln High School Clinic. You will work collaboratively with school staff, students, THC colleagues, and parents to provide the necessary support for students to achieve their healthiest selves.
General Description: The Behavioral Health Therapist will offer individual and group therapy sessions for students and clients at The Health Center. This position is available on a full-time (approx. 33-35) or part-time basis ( approx. 15-20) hours per week. We follow the Walla Walla Public Schools schedule, which includes summers off, snow days, and regular workdays between 8 am and 3 pm.

Job Description:
- Provide individual and group behavioral health counseling for The Health Center clients inaccordance with standards set by the Washington State Department of Health and The HealthCenter policies.
- Complete all required documentation (intake, visit notes, etc.) by the end of the week.
- Collaborate with The Health Center's interdisciplinary team to offer behavioral health carerecommendations for students and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings with outside agencies.
- Consult with primary care providers, teachers, school counselors, and other behavioral healthprofessionals as needed.
- Make appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Provide parent consultations and family support meetings for students as needed.
- Offer case management, advocacy, and resource linkages.
- Maintain professional conduct and positive relationships with school faculty, staff, and referral sources.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled clinical supervision sessions with the Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor.
- Assist The Health Center in following emergency procedure guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Employment Requirements:
- 3 plus years experience in behavioral health therapy.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy,Education, or a related field.
- A strong commitment to the mission and work of The Health Center.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively and collaborate within a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, group facilitation abilities, and excellent oral and writtencommunication.
- Ability to provide best practice individual, small group, and family counseling services.
- Compliance with Washington State and U.S. Federal laws and regulations related to ambulatorybehavioral health services.
- Experience and skill in maintaining proper behavioral health records and billing followingHIPAA.
- Understanding of psychodynamics relevant to children, adolescents, and treatment strategiesfor common behavioral health issues within these groups.
- Ability to handle multiple demands, prioritize tasks, and produce high-quality workunder pressure.
- A commitment to accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn.Culturally sensitive, with a willingness to work with individuals from diverse socioeconomicand ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, and preferences.
- Passionate about working with school-aged children and their families.
- Ability to manage pressure while maintaining purpose, keeping a sense of humor, and handlingcompeting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of making sound decisions under pressure and ensuring follow-through to prevent issuesfrom falling through the cracks.
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
