Aviation Component Mechanic with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician, Level III Experience
Perform Air International is an FAA Part 145 Repair Station which repairs and overhauls aviation components. We are seeking an aviation component mechanic with experience in either Electro-mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or water/waste who could also perform, when needed, as a Level III NDT technician, performing and evaluating Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Particle inspections on components to ensure their compliance with quality standards.
Duties (Mechanic)
Maintenance on aviation components in the electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or water/waste areas.
Duties (NDT)
Perform NDT testing to determine product acceptability to authorized limits
Interpret, analyze, evaluate and record test results
Investigate material failures or anomalies and recommend corrective action
Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations
Calibrate, operate and maintain NDT equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability
Prepare detailed and accurate reports and documentation of testing results
Skills/Experience:
For Mechanic, 1-3 years prior relevant experience in repair and overhaul in either electro-mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or water/waste components
For NDT testing, a BS degree in engineering or science and one year of relevant NDT testing experience, or two years education in engineering or science and two years relevant NDT testing, or four years of relevant NDT testing (magnetic and fluorescent particle inspections).
Ability to qualify for FAA Repairman’s Certificate for NDT testing.
Prior aerospace or aviation experience preferred.
Day shift position. Pay $25-40 per hour DOE
