Position Summary:
Position will work within the Research & Development (R&D) team to develop new products and features as well as create design improvements to existing products or features supporting projects as defined by the company’s New Product Development (NPD) funnel.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design parts and assemblies to support New Product Development (NPD) and product improvement sustaining engineering.
· Review and approved technical drawings as checker.
· Assist Project Engineers in NPD projects.
· Recommends part or product improvements.
· Conduct testing of parts and equipment and create reports.
· Provide support, analysis and solutions of product or part issues as requested by Production staff members.
· Provide support, analysis and solutions of product or part issues as requested by Customer Service members.
· Visit field sites for technical support or evaluations with Sales or Customer Service staff members.
· Provide technical support of products as requested by sales staff members.
· Participate in PD Engineering meetings from concept to production release.
· Recommend and implement continuous improvement to duties and responsibilities.
· Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education, Experience & Skills:
Education:
Required: Associate Degree in Science. (Mechanical Design)
Desired: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
Experience:
Required: 3-years working at a manufacturer in Engineering creating mechanical rotating parts for machinery. (Associates Degree only).
Desired: 1-years working at a manufacturer in Engineering creating mechanical rotating parts for waste-water machinery. (BSME)
Skills:
Required:
Experience in designing in a 3D modeling platform.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Fluent oral and written skills in English.
Desired:
Experience designing in AutoDesk Inventor platform.
Training in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T)
Training or experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Intermediate Level).
Conversational oral and written skills in Spanish or Chinese.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
