American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position requiring MA licensure, telemetry proficiency, and prior ICU experience.
-
Work in a 38-bed (28+10) multi-specialty ICU (CCU/SICU/MICU/NEURO/CT) within a hospital setting
-
12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
-
Every other weekend and every other holiday required
-
May be required to float to Med/Surg as needed
-
Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate

Active MA RN license required
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN ICU experience in a multi-specialty ICU setting required

Nursing degree required: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
-
Telemetry experience required with ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
-
Must pass a telemetry test on day one of the assignment
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills required
-
Basic computer proficiency required

Physical ability to meet job responsibilities required

Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the ICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients

Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families
-
Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
-
Update and manage patient records, entering and interpreting computerized data
-
Follow established nursing department guidelines and policies
-
Assist leadership with quality improvement projects as needed
-
Work alongside a collaborative and dedicated nursing team
