Job Summary
Established generator repair, service, and installation company seeking Generator Technician and/or Apprentice. Individual must be able to actively work as part of a crew, with a strong desire to learn, and is looking for a long term career. We are looking to hire immediately!
Responsibilities and Duties
Report to shop, review work, confirm necessary parts, equipment, tools, and supplies are on your work vehicle. Following a pre-determined schedule, complete services at different locations. Complete paperwork for customer, and office. Work will consist of: performing preventative maintenance and repairs on standby generators, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, starting up and installing new machines. Once trained, you will be working independently out of a company supplied work van.
Qualifications, requirements, skills…
· 2+ years' of related experience and/or education
· 2+ years' of automotive experience
· Previous experience working on commercial, industrial, and residential generators
· Valid NJ's driver’s license and the ability to be insured on our commercial auto policy
· Solid work ethic and problem solving skills
· Ability to lift 50+lbs
· Some basic mechanical skills
· Reading, writing, math skills (for customer billing purposes)
· Reliable transportation to get to/from work (you will use a company vehicle during work hours)
· Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship (no sponsorship available now or in the future)
Schedule
Guaranteed 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday. Some Saturdays or evenings may be scheduled during high volume seasons, or emergencies.
Typically, hours will be from 8a-4p
Pay
$17-$50 per hour. Compensation based on experience.
