Assistant Vice President of Human Resources
Location: High Point, NC
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
Pay: Starting at $37.00 per hour (Compensation may be higher or lower based on education, experience, and qualifications.)
Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusuastic and experienced Assistant Vice President of Human Resources to support the administration of the Agency's HR operations, personnel policies, and organizational planning. This position also serves as the backup to the Vice President of Human Resources as the Agency's secondary media contact.
Responsibilities
- Assist in administering all human resources policies, programs, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement.
- Assist with employee benefits administration, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Maintain personnel records and prepare required reports.
- Assist with budget planning and strategic HR initiatives.
- Support internal communications, press releases, and media relations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience or equivalent training.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Experience in public sector or government organizations.
