Food Service Line Cook
Job Description
The Food Service Line Cook is responsible for ensuring the quality and efficient delivery of creative and delicious meals to the participants of the CHATT foundation.
The food service line cook is responsible for:
· Opening and closing the kitchen and dining room areas for operations
· Meal Creation, preparation and serving of 3 meals daily
· Contribute to the preparation of menus as requested by the Food Services Team Lead or Manager
· Maintaining a high level of cleanliness in all food preparation, storage, and dining areas in line with the guidelines set forth by the Hamilton County Health Department
· Training and giving direction and duties to volunteers and community service personnel in the food service area
· Enforcing kitchen sanitation and safety policies to other staff, volunteers, and participants of the CHATT foundation
· Communicating daily with the Food Services Team Lead & Manager and other food service staff
· Completing and filling in daily log book entries for cooler and freezer temps as well as food temps and number of meals served
· Performing other duties as assigned
Follows CHATT policies and procedures
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent (preference for higher education or specialized training)
· Experience working in food services
· Positive attitude and desire to work with people facing a crisis situation
· Ability to balance professionalism and relational interaction with staff and clients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
