Overview
Higher Ground is a Chattanooga business that specializes in rainwater management. We’ve been in operation for over 10 years and have maintained a great reputation and happy clientele. We are seeking a dedicated Crew Member to join our Drainage and Excavation team. This position will require regular material pickups and transporting machinery to and from job sites. Must be comfortable hauling materials and machinery on a flat or dump trailer up to 5 tons - no need for a CDL but experience driving with a trailer is required.
If you have a passion for outdoor work and enjoy being a part of projects that help people, this role is perfect for you. We currently run a very small crew on mostly residential jobs installing custom drainage solutions like French drains, retaining walls, grading and erosion control. Prior experience and skills are great and will influence pay. This is a great opportunity for an entry level worker to gain skills and knowledge about drainage systems, operating machines if capable, and a variety of other things in that realm.
We are open to hiring a crew lead if we find the right applicant. The crew lead position would require unsupervised completion of 1-4 day projects. We operate Monday- Thursday, weather permitting.

Experience
- Prior experience in drainage, excavation, plumbing, landscaping, operating machines is preferred but NOT required.
-Must be comfortable hauling materials on a flat or dump trailer up to 5 tons no need for a CDL but experience driving with a trailer is required
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions diligently
