Psych NP Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated, hard-working, and team oriented psychiatric ARNP to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care services within the scope of their license, in collaboration with other members of the treatment team, and under the direction and supervision of the medical director. The candidate will support the policies, rules and regulations of the practice and acts in compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory bodies and agencies.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
- Conduct health assessments including recording complete medical and psychosocial history
- Perform physical examinations and screenings of patients
- Make diagnoses and recommend further treatment options
- Order and administer tests including bloodwork
- Review and interpret test results to diagnose health problems
- Develop a treatment plan that may include medication and other therapies
- Provide patient education to promote habits that will prevent diseases and maintain good health
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses
- Order and interpret laboratory test results
- Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments
- Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
- Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
- Ensure patient records are kept up to date including test results, immunizations, condition changes, etc.
Education, Training, & Certification:
- Psychiatry Board Certified (required)
- Bilingual (Spanish Prefered)
