Veterinarians throughout the Midwest refer animal clients to the Veterinary Health Center for specialized diagnoses and treatment. With sophisticated therapeutic equipment that includes an underwater treadmill, advanced imaging techniques, and groundbreaking equine lameness diagnostic equipment, we are a center for animal healthcare.
The Veterinary Health Center is currently seeking Registered Veterinary Technicians for multiple small animal service lines. Our technicians have the opportunity to work collaboratively with some of the top clinicians, registered veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants in Missouri, the United States, and the world. Our technicians impact the quality of life for our patients as well as their owners and families. We are seeking energetic, caring, empathetic, and driven individuals who seek an environment that fosters continuous learning and professional development as well as top notch service delivery.
Primary responsibilities for Veterinary Technicians may include:

Conduct initial exam of animal including taking vital signs, drawing blood, collecting specimens, and gathering medical histories.

Calm and soothe patients; safely restrain, transport, and handle patients; and prepare patients for treatments and procedures.

Provide emergency first aid; monitor critical patients; participate in and assist with procedures and treatments; administer medication as prescribed by a veterinarian.

Prepare equipment for surgical procedures; clean and organize treatment and examination rooms.

Educate clients and owners on treatment plans, behavior changes, feeding, exercise and overall wellness for their animals; update patient medical records.

Participate in teaching veterinary students and assist with research activities.

Other duties as assigned. Duties will vary across service lines.
