Alden @PhxArt is a modern American restaurant that celebrates our diverse community through thoughtfully crafted cuisine. We're seeking a versatile Server/Bar professional to join our team.
In this hybrid role, you'll alternate between serving shifts on the dining floor and bar shifts behind our bar. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional hospitality while demonstrating:
- Classic cocktail expertise and sound bar techniques
- Polished service skills for an upper casual dining experience
- Seamless transitions between front-of-house and bar responsibilities
You'll be responsible for taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring every guest enjoys an outstanding visit. This position requires someone who thrives in both fast-paced cocktail service and refined table service environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Food and beverage menu knowledge, ensuring your ability to answer questions, make recommendations, and navigate allergies/dietary restrictions.
- Ensure guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and efficiently.
Order Taking and Service:
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests.
- Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff using the POS system.
- Check on tables regularly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Clear plates and keep tables tidy.
Payment and Check Handling:
- Present accurate checks to guests.
- Process electronic and cash payments.
Restaurant Operations:
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, such as setting tables and restocking supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Skills/Requirements:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact with customers and staff in a clear and friendly manner.
- People Skills/Teamwork: Ability to build rapport with guests and anticipate their needs.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to take accurate orders and ensure food and beverages are served correctly.
