The Original Rainbow Cone, a Chicago staple since 1926, is dedicated to the development of our teams, while serving Chicago’s favorite ice cream cone and guest experience. We’re searching for General Manager-level candidates to join our team as a General Manager in Training (GMIT), on track to becoming GM within 6-12 months.
At Rainbow Cone, you’ll be responsible for creating a perfect ice cream experience for our guests through leading and developing our hourly team members and using a variety of industry-leading tools to manage all aspects of the operation.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of restaurant management/F&B experience, preferred
- Drive-thru experience
- Familiar with and comfortable leading a team of 10+ members per shift
- Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and forecasting
- Strong understanding of ice cream cycles and storage (preferred)
- Strong administrative, multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Illinois and city of Chicago manager sanitation license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. comfortably
- Ability to stand for 8 hours or more
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
