Our well established, busy, fun pet hotel wants to hire additional staff to join our team. We are currently seeking bright, energetic, individuals who work hard, pay close attention to detail and have a love of pets. The Dog Play Spot currently has a Doggy Daycare Counselor role available.

This position requires supervision and clean up after doggy playgroup, lots of on-your-feet exercise - walking pets, throwing balls, and scratching ears. Candidates must be able to lift 40 lbs., be on your feet 4-5 hours at a time, and have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays. The ability to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals is a must have.
General kennel experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintenance of pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and kitchen
- Feeding and watering pet guests
- Monitoring and charting every pet guest
- Monitoring pet belonging
- Monitoring for any abnormalities
- Laundering duties
- Treating guests, co-workers and customers in a professional, courteous manner
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Assisting other associates and performing other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to manage time well
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays, as necessary
- Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must possess a love of animals and patience when handling pets
- Displays a professional manner at all times
The hourly pay range for this position is $10.00–$10.50. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Eligible employees may also participate in company-sponsored benefits and incentive programs.
