American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a Respiratory Care Unit requiring active FL/Compact license and a minimum of 3 years recent critical care experience with ventilator, trauma, and neuro patients.

Work in the ICU Respiratory Care Unit of a high acuity stepdown unit
-
Care for acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
-
Patient ratio of 3:1, with a max of 4:1 depending on staffing
-
Night shift schedule with every other weekend required
-
Floating required as needed
-
Holiday coverage required as needed
-
Overtime availability preferred
-
Travel pairs will not be considered

Active FL or Compact RN license required
-
BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
-
NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of submittal

Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience required
-
Trauma and neuro experience required
-
Degree from an accredited school required, or FBON-approved institution with 2 years recent consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital

Epic EMR experience required
-
Charge RN, SICU, MICU, trauma, and stroke experience preferred

Strong critical care assessment skills required
-
Must pass a basic arrhythmia/EKG assessment

Provide critical care nursing to acute and chronically ill ICU patients on ventilator support

Willing to work in a stepdown capacity with up to 4:1 ratio when necessary

No blocked scheduling requests or holiday time off requests permitted
-
No extended RTO beyond 4 days

Frequent shift cancellations may result in contract termination

Strong team player attitude expected

Local candidates within a 60-mile radius considered at a lower pay rate

Former Broward Health employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
