Sheet Metal Hardware Installer – Training Provided
Experience is not required; training will be provided. Applicants with sheet-metal or hardware installation experience may qualify for higher starting pay. A hands-on skills test may be required to verify experience and determine starting pay.
Job Summary
7 Metals Manufacturing is looking for a dependable Sheet Metal Hardware Installer to join our production team. This position installs PEM nuts, studs, standoffs, rivet nuts, helicoils, and other hardware into sheet-metal and machined parts.
Responsibilities
- Install PEM nuts, studs, standoffs, rivet nuts, helicoils, and other hardware.
- Operate hardware insertion presses and basic hand tools.
- Follow work orders, drawings, and hardware instructions.
- Select the correct hardware by size, type, and part number.
- Verify hardware location, orientation, and proper installation.
- Inspect completed parts for loose, damaged, missing, or incorrectly installed hardware.
- Use basic measuring and inspection tools.
- Count parts and record completed quantities.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Assist with deburring, assembly, and other production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- No previous experience required; training is provided.
- Manufacturing, sheet-metal, PEM hardware, or hardware press experience is preferred.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on work.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
