Assistant Manager – PM/Weekends (Bar & Dog Park Operations)

We pride ourselves on creating a safe, fun, and welcoming atmosphere for dogs, dog lovers, and bar guests alike. We’re looking for a hands-on, energetic Assistant Manager to oversee our bar and dog park operations during evenings and weekends while ensuring exceptional service for both two-legged and four-legged guests.
Position Overview
This position is ideal for someone who loves hospitality and dogs in equal measure. You’ll manage a lively bar environment while overseeing the safe operation of our off-leash dog park. You’ll supervise and support bar staff and dog attendants, keep service flowing smoothly, handle guest concerns, and maintain a clean, safe, and fun space.
Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations
- Oversee all bar operations during PM and weekend shifts, ensuring fast, friendly, and high-quality service.
- Manage bar inventory, place orders, and maintain stock levels for beverages and supplies.
- Train, coach, and supervise bartenders and barbacks.
- Ensure all alcohol service complies with state and local laws.
- Assist with drink menu updates and bar promotions.
Dog Park & Guest Experience
- Supervise the dog park to ensure safety rules are followed for both pets and people.
- Support park attendants in managing playgroups and monitoring dog behavior.
- Address guest questions or concerns with professionalism and warmth.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in both bar and dog park areas.
Team Leadership
- Train and schedule staff for both bar and dog park positions.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.
- Step in for the General Manager when needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years in a management or supervisory role in hospitality
- Passion for dogs and ability to work around dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
