Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Farm Assistant to join our dynamic agricultural team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting daily farm operations, ensuring the health and well-being of livestock, maintaining equipment, and assisting with crops. Duties
- Assist with livestock management, including stall cleaning, feeding, watering, and routine health checks for various farm animals such as cattle, horses, and poultry, rabbits
- Operate farm machinery
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting, fencing repairs, repairs, and manual handling of materials
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to proper procedures during animal handling
- Assist with animal husbandry tasks including grooming, cleaning enclosures, and ensuring proper animal care practices are followed
Experience
- Proven experience working outdoors in farming or agricultural settings with a strong understanding of farm operations
- Supervising experience or leadership roles in farm environments preferred but not required
- Knowledge of livestock handling techniques and animal husbandry best practice
- Familiarity with safety standards in agricultural production environments
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor work
