Mitigation Technician (Water Damage Restoration)
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Mitigation Technician with experience in plumbing and/or construction to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in water damage mitigation, structural drying, demolition, and general construction support.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to water damage emergencies and perform mitigation services
- Extract water from affected areas using pumps and extraction equipment
- Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc.)
- Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials (drywall, flooring, insulation)
- Assist with plumbing-related water damage issues and identify source of leaks when applicable
- Document job progress, moisture readings, and daily work reports
- Ensure job sites are cleaned, safe, and properly restored
- Follow all safety procedures and company protocols
Requirements:
- Experience in construction, plumbing, restoration, or maintenance work preferred
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
- Willingness to respond to emergency or after-hours jobs when needed
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Water damage restoration / mitigation
- Plumbing repair or maintenance
- General construction or demolition work
- HVAC or building maintenance background
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
