Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Crane Operator - Driver to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will operate cranes and heavy equipment to lift, move, and position materials safely and efficiently across construction sites. Duties
- Operate cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy machinery with precision on construction sites.
- Safely rig loads for lifting and secure materials for transport or placement.
- Handle materials efficiently within warehouses or shipping & receiving areas, ensuring proper storage and movement.
- Drive commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, or personnel between job sites and storage locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of cranes and heavy equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist with general construction tasks such as site setup, material handling, and equipment maintenance.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment), to prevent accidents and injuries.
Experience
- Proven experience operating cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, excavators, or similar heavy machinery in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems and maintenance procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on experience with rigging techniques and materials handling procedures.
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Prior warehouse experience or shipping & receiving background is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic backhoe operation and work confidently with various types of construction equipment.
