Summary: The primary nature of this position is to assist in the production of raw or processed product on an assigned line with a high emphasis on promoting a clean food processing and general business environment as accomplished through established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and following the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), Safe Quality Food (SQF) responsibilities, safety guidelines, and demonstrated work ethic.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the following tasks:
1. Filling and stacking baskets of processed product to be packed
2. Dumping processed product onto conveyor belts
3. Assembling packaging material to be filled with processed product
4. Case filling, paste punching, and check weighing.
5. Palletizing product.
6. Assist in packing all products according to established Product Specifications
7. Assist in line changeovers in runs of various varieties.
8. Maintaining and cleaning work and surrounding areas
9. Recieving and grading raw dried fruit, using machines and by hand
Food Safety Management System (FSMS) Responsibilities
1. Follow SJF food safety SOPs while completing work, including parts of the job which interact with policies related to GMPs, Food Security, HACCP, Hand Washing, Work wear and clothing, product segregation, and allergen control.
