Duties
- Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes while adhering to OSHA safety standards
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory and process orders
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision using <PERSON> pickers and order picking techniques
- Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound loads for accuracy and completeness
- Handle heavy lifting tasks involving materials handling equipment to move items within the warehouse efficiently
- Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks to ensure mechanical safety and functionality
- Assist with warehouse organization, including stacking pallets, storing materials properly, and maintaining a clean work environment
- Support warehouse supervisors in inventory control, stock replenishment, and implementing safety protocols
Experience
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics environments is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is essential
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory tracking
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
- Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance or troubleshooting of warehouse machinery is a plus
- Previous roles involving shipping & receiving processes or construction site logistics are advantageous
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining productivity standards
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles in logistics settings are beneficial but not required
