Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / Infusion (Outpatient Clinic)
Location: Tarzana, CA
Shift: Day (5x8 Hours) 8:00am to 4:30pm
Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension
Pay: $55/hr to $60/hr
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with Oncology and/or Infusion experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy outpatient oncology clinic. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality cancer care, administering chemotherapy and infusion therapies, and providing exceptional patient education and support.
The RN will work collaboratively with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care.

Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, hydration, injections, and other infusion therapies.
- Safely administer IV medications while adhering to oncology safety standards.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatments for adverse reactions.
- Access and manage central venous access devices including PICC lines, ports, and central lines.
- Perform patient assessments, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and symptom management.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and self-care.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Accurately document patient care using an electronic medical record system.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Participate in patient scheduling, care coordination, and discharge planning when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (must be active at the time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient Oncology and/or Infusion experience
- Current BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- Current ONS/ONCC Certification
- Strong IV therapy and infusion administration skills
- Excellent communication, assessment, and critical thinking abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience (not required)
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Chemotherapy administration experience
- Experience with oncology patient education and symptom management
- Strong teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
