Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeping Houseperson, where your energy and attention to detail will elevate guest experiences and uphold our high standards of cleanliness and safety. In this vital role, you will support the housekeeping department by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with floor care, and ensuring all public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house spaces are pristine and welcoming. Your proactive approach will help create a comfortable, hygienic environment for guests and staff alike, contributing directly to the overall success of our hospitality operation.
Duties
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, corridors, lobbies, restrooms, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
- Perform detailed floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to keep all surfaces spotless and safe.
- Support housekeeping staff with replenishing supplies, linens, and amenities in guest rooms and common areas.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, surface disinfecting, and restocking cleaning carts to ensure operational efficiency.
- Help with industrial cleaning projects when needed, including deep cleans of carpets or upholstery to maintain hygiene standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in storage closets and supply rooms while ensuring proper inventory management of cleaning supplies.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning or custodial roles within hotels or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Experience with industrial or commercial cleaning methods is a plus.
- Strong understanding of janitorial procedures and custodial best practices in a hospitality setting.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards.
