We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel Health Information Management (HIM) Manager to oversee the coordination, accuracy, and security of health records across multiple healthcare locations. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of health information management practices, regulatory compliance, and electronic health record systems. As a Travel HIM Manager, you will lead efforts to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of medical records while supporting the organization’s operational and clinical needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage health information processes on a dynamic, mobile basis, contributing to improved patient care and data accuracy.
Duties
- Oversee the management of electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates across all locations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy protection laws and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information.
- Coordinate with medical offices to facilitate seamless health information exchange and record retrieval during travel assignments.
- Monitor adherence to health regulation policies and regulatory requirements related to health information management.
- Implement best practices in records management, including retention schedules, data security measures, and audit procedures.
- Provide training and support to staff on EHR systems, medical coding, and health information regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle management teams to optimize billing processes through accurate documentation and coding.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing inquiries related to medical records efficiently and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in health information management within a healthcare setting, with a focus on travel or multi-site operations preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare privacy protection laws, clinical confidentiality policies, and health regulation policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with various EHR/EMR systems used in healthcare environments.
- Experience in medical office administration, including medical coding, records management, and revenue cycle processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage health information regulatory compliance effectively across diverse settings.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring data integrity.
- Prior experience working with healthcare providers in a fast-paced environment that requires adaptability and proactive problem-solving.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
