Description:
Industrial Valve Sales and Service is seeking a technician that will conduct assembly, disassembly, set-up, and testing of valve actuators & geared products. They will provide field services for preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators. Some travel will be required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembly of new and repaired valve actuators & gearboxes.
- Disassemble valve actuators geared products when necessary.
- Accurately measure, inspect, and assess needed repairs.
- Read assembly drawings and workorders to ensure proper actuator set-up.
- Ability to use basic electrical tools and test benches.
- Properly set-up valves actuators to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and other customer requirements.
- The ability to work off verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to operate forklift and crane.
- Conduct safe rigging of materials.
- Safely operate company vehicles and maintain a DOT physical year to year.
- Travel to customer sites when needed to perform work.
- Other duties related to the assembly & field services department.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of basic electrical theories
- Basic math skills
- Read wire diagrams, blueprints & schematics
- Use of forklift
- Use of cranes and rigging
NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS:
- Welding
- Manual machining
- Strong Electrical/Mechanical aptitude
- Repair of industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, pumps.
