SDBS-Security Inc. is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Unarmed Security Officers for a premier office building and parking garage property located in downtown San Diego. This position requires individuals who can effectively balance traditional security responsibilities with exceptional customer service.
Security Officers will serve as the first point of contact for tenants, visitors, contractors, and parking customers. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills, maintain a professional demeanor, and be comfortable assisting customers with parking garage equipment and access control systems while ensuring the safety and security of the property.
Start Date: Immediately for the right candidate
Part- Time | SAT - SUN
2nd shift- 3:00PM-11:00PM
Please Note: Shift schedules and start/end times may vary based on operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Patrol the office building, parking garage, and surrounding property to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Monitor building access points and enforce property policies and procedures
- Assist tenants, visitors, and parking customers with garage access, payment systems, ticketing equipment, and general parking-related inquiries
- Observe and report suspicious activity, security concerns, safety hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations
- Conduct routine inspections of the property, including stairwells, elevators, parking levels, and common areas
- Complete detailed reports, and maintenance notifications
- Provide professional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and tenant concerns
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, property management, tenants, vendors, and emergency responders when necessary
Requirements:
- Must possess a valid California Guard Card
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of verifiable security experience
- Experience working in commercial office buildings, parking structures, customer service, hospitality, or concierge-style environments is highly preferred
- Must provide two professional references at the time of interview
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be comfortable interacting with tenants, visitors, and parking customers throughout the shift
- Must be able to remain professional and courteous when handling customer concerns and complaints
- Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
