Early Intervention Pediatric Occupational Therapist

As a licensed Occupational Therapist with the Northern Berkshire Early Intervention team you will help infants and toddlers build the skills they need to thrive. You'll work directly with children and families in their natural environments, coaching caregivers, celebrating milestones, and making a lasting impact during the most important years of development.
Position Highlights
- Provide developmental evaluations and occupational therapy services for children birth to age 3
- Support fine motor, sensory, feeding, self-care, and developmental skill acquisition
- Recommend adaptive equipment and therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with developmental specialists, PTs, SLPs, and service coordinators
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Document services in accordance with Massachusetts Early Intervention standards

Occupational Therapist Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in good standing
- Early Intervention Specialist certification or ability to obtain certification through Massachusetts DPH requirements in first two years of employment
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices, including sensory, developmental, and feeding interventions
- Experience supervising or mentoring COTAs preferred
- Comfortable with electronic health records and standard business software (Outlook, Word, and Teams)
- Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with families and a multidisciplinary team
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance
