Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a proactive and organized Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure smooth distribution center activities. Duties
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity goals while maintaining high safety standards.
- Operate and oversee the use of reach trucks, forklifts, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Implement process improvements using lean management principles to optimize warehouse workflows.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely distribution and delivery schedules.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all team members.
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse operations, distribution center management, or related logistics roles.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and Microsoft Office tools.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively with excellent managerial communication skills.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment operation such as forklifts and mechanical tools.
- Familiarity with fulfillment processes and heavy lifting techniques.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies like lean management or continuous improvement strategies.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies such as RF scanners, AS400 systems, or other inventory management tools.
