Key Responsibilities:
Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents, including bathing, hair and nail hygiene, dental and mouth care, dressing/undressing, and positioning
Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner
Report all changes in resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse immediately
Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions, as well as other daily living activities
Ensure incontinent residents are clean and dry
Support/Assist residents in preparing for activities/social events
Additional Qualifications:
Must possess, as a minimum, a GED or High School Diploma
Must have and maintain an active searchable Certified Nursing Assistant certification in accordance with the state in which the facility resides
Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult situations
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of thirty-five pounds
Must meet health assessment requirements set forth by the policies of this facility and the state
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for an extended period of time, bend, squat, kneel, and bend frequently
Working Environment:
May be subject to the exposure of infectious waste, diseases, and conditions
May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues
May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals, including tobacco smoke
May be requested to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
