American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel position requiring a VA or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Work on a 36-bed Med/Surg unit within the main hospital building
-
Unit staffed with clinical coordinators, RNs, techs, and unit secretaries across day and night shifts
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Care for post-operative patients requiring dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
-
Uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
-
Documentation completed in Meditech EMR
-
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
13-week assignment
-
Active VA or compact RN license required
-
BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Experience with post-operative patient care preferred
-
Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
-
No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Provide direct patient care including wound care and drain maintenance for post-operative patients

Facility recognized for top patient experience scores as measured by HCAHPS

Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment required

Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs; hoodies, pull-overs, and t-shirts are not permitted

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
