Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Church Pianist to bring inspiring musical leadership to our worship services. In this vital role, you will serve as the musical backbone of our congregation, creating an uplifting atmosphere through your skillful piano playing. Responsibilities
- Lead congregational singing by playing the piano during weekly worship services
- Collaborate with pastor and worship team to select appropriate music that aligns with the service themes
- Prepare and rehearse music selections ahead of scheduled services to ensure smooth performances
- Accompany soloists and other musicians as needed during rehearsals and performances
- Maintain and care for church-owned pianos and musical equipment to ensure optimal sound quality
Skills
- Proficient in piano performance with strong sight-reading skills
- Experience with church or community music programs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of various musical styles, including contemporary, traditional hymns, and gospel music
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clergy and other church staff
- Ability to be flexible with changing musical needs of a service
- Passionate about contributing to spiritual growth through music and fostering a welcoming worship environment
Pay: $100.00 per week
