Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and building infrastructure using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct repairs on refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and related mechanical components with precision and efficiency.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Assist in construction or renovation projects by providing maintenance support and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, demonstrating leadership qualities while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities to support compliance and operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or service technician roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints for accurate diagnostics.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building maintenance practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Leadership qualities that enable guidance of junior staff or coordination during maintenance projects.
