QARI (Quincy Asian Resources, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving immigrant individuals and families by advancing access to culturally responsive programs and services. With a presence in Quincy, Boston, New York City, and Rhode Island, we focus on building integrated support systems across schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
We have an immediate need for a part-time Human Resources Generalist with a payroll background to support the development of the human resources functions for QARI/Wutabon Inc. This position is based in Quincy, MA, but will also travel to other locations and work remotely. The position is responsible for supporting human resources functions primarily Paycom & ADP payroll, employee recruitment, training development, and benefits management.

Responsibilities:
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data.
- Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions.
- Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
- Recruit prospective candidates for open positions and manage a high volume of candidate applications and profiles. Assist CPO with the recruiting, job fairs, community events and onboarding process, including submitting job postings online, scheduling candidate interviews, processing reference & background checks.
- Perform administrative work, including maintaining physical and electronic files, and sorting mail for the Human Resources.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Assists with professional development training.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in human resources, social services, business, finance, accounting, or other appropriate discipline.
- Three or more years of relevant financial, administrative, and HR experience.
- Demonstrated Human Resources experience.
- Experience with MS office and Google suites.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to be able to support a high volume of inquiries and employees.
- Capacity to multitask, work under pressure, and meet required deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
