- Provide high-visibility floor leadership to a skilled team of 25–30 hourly production employees within a unionized web coating and advanced converting environment.
- Command shift-level production schedules, ensuring rigorous quality controls are upheld and absolute safety compliance is maintained on the floor.
- Oversee complex in-process quality audits, manage technical run documentation, and coordinate swift corrective actions with the internal engineering department.
- Partner closely with the Maintenance crew to maximize equipment reliability, execute work orders, and facilitate routine preventive maintenance windows.
- Manage operational shift logistics, including tracking attendance, optimizing daily personnel moves, coordinating job assignments, and verifying specialized training requirements.
- Utilize enterprise ERP systems to log real-time production metrics, drive inventory accuracy, and maintain smooth shift-to-shift handoffs.
- Seasoned leadership core featuring 5+ years of verifiable supervisory or production leadership experience in a fast-paced, heavy industrial manufacturing plant setting.
- Union environment fluency with prior experience managing an hourly, unionized workforce. Direct experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements and handling contract administration is a massive advantage.
- Operational multitasking capacity with a proven track record of balancing safety protocols, machine throughput, and scrap reduction simultaneously on a rapid production floor.
