We are looking for a hands-on, in-house marketing leader to help build and scale the marketing function for a fast-growing organic mattress brand.
This is not a remote job, and it is not a role for someone who wants to sit above the business and delegate everything to agencies. We are looking for someone who can work on-site in our building, collaborate directly with ownership, and help create a real in-house marketing engine.
We already know the brand has strong potential. Our products have shown excellent early traction on Amazon, and the market response has made it clear that the opportunity is real. We are now looking for the right person to help translate that momentum into a stronger direct-to-consumer growth strategy across branding, creative, acquisition, content, and retention.
This role is ideal for someone who understands ecommerce marketing, knows how to build systems, and wants to be rewarded for actual performance and measurable results.
What We Need
We do not need a big-title executive who charges a premium and then tells us to hire an outside agency.
We need someone who can:

- create momentum through real marketing output
This person should be capable of turning a strong product and promising market response into a disciplined, scalable, in-house marketing operation.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead our in-house marketing function
- Help define and sharpen our brand positioning in the organic mattress category
- Develop clear messaging, campaign angles, and marketing priorities
- Lead paid social strategy, especially Meta/Facebook/Instagram creative testing
- Help establish a repeatable process for UGC, influencer, creator, and testimonial content
- Improve our website conversion strategy, landing pages, and product presentation
- Oversee and improve email/SMS retention marketing
- Help create educational content that supports trust, SEO, and conversion
- Analyze performance across key metrics such as revenue growth, CAC, ROAS, MER, CVR, AOV, and LTV
- Work directly with ownership to identify what should be built in-house and what should only be outsourced selectively
- Help lay the foundation for future team growth, process, and accountability
- Create systems, reporting, and execution discipline so marketing becomes measurable and repeatable
Who This Role Is For

You should have experience in DTC ecommerce marketing, ideally in categories such as:
- sleep

- furniture
- home goods
- natural/organic consumer products
- other premium consumer brands
You should also understand:
- Shopify or ecommerce conversion strategy
- paid social creative and testing
- lifecycle marketing
- creator/UGC/influencer content
- basic performance measurement and growth decision-making
Who This Role Is Not For
This is not the right role for someone who:
- only wants to manage agencies
- prefers meetings over execution
- relies on buzzwords instead of results
- expects a large salary based mainly on title or resume
- is looking for remote or hybrid work
- needs a large existing team in place before they can contribute
We are looking for a builder/operator, not a corporate executive.
Compensation
$28–$38 per hour, plus performance-based bonus tied to growth and execution milestones.
This role is designed for someone who wants to be rewarded for results, not just experience on paper. We offer a fair base with meaningful upside for the right person.
A 90-day evaluation period will be part of the hiring process.
