About the Role
Marolf Environmental is seeking an experienced Wastewater & Lift Station Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for wastewater treatment systems and lift station projects throughout the region.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong experience in wastewater infrastructure, underground utilities, and construction supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction & Project Execution
- Oversee daily field operations for wastewater treatment systems and lift station projects
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
- Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Technical Oversight
- Supervise installation of packaged wastewater treatment systems and lift stations
- Ensure proper installation of pumps, piping, underground utilities, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot construction and system issues in the field
- Maintain compliance with project specifications and industry standards
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and mentor field personnel
- Assign tasks and monitor productivity and quality of work
- Promote a strong safety culture on all job sites
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA requirements
- Ensure work meets regulatory and quality standards
- Coordinate inspections and address any deficiencies
Client & Coordination
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients
- Provide regular progress updates
- Support project closeout and documentation
Qualifications
- Strong experience in wastewater treatment systems, lift stations, and/or underground utilities
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
- Solid understanding of construction scheduling and job site coordination
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on active construction sites
- Climb ladders, walk uneven terrain, and work around wastewater environments
- Ability to lift materials and perform field inspections as needed
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Experience Requirements
- Construction or Project Management: 3 years (Required)
- Underground Utilities: 1 year (Required)
- Wastewater Treatment or Lift Stations: 1 year (Required)
