Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Buffet Attendant, where you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties
- Set up, replenish, and maintain the buffet station to ensure a fresh and appealing presentation at all times
- Assist with food preparation, including slicing, garnishing, and portioning to support kitchen operations
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations
- Clean and sanitize buffet areas, utensils, and equipment regularly to maintain hygiene standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including warming trays, chafing dishes, and serving tools
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems when applicable
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs
- Handle weight-based food items with care during restocking and serving to ensure proper portion control
- Assist with banquet or catering events by setting up stations and serving food as needed
- Support overall restaurant operations through teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Fine dining experience or catering background is advantageous but not required
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential
- Experience operating POS systems and processing cash transactions confidently
- Knowledge of wine service or barista skills are a plus but not mandatory
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace safely and efficiently
- Previous banquet or catering experience enhances your suitability for this role
