About This Role
We are looking for a friendly, dependable Dietary Aide to join our food service team. You will help prepare and serve meals, keep the kitchen and dining room clean and organized, and interact directly with the residents we serve. No experience required — we will train you. What You'll Do
Set up and break down the dining room before and after each meal service
Deliver meal trays to residents according to their individual dietary orders and tray tickets
Verify each tray is correct before delivery — right resident, right diet, every time
Assist residents with meal selection and accommodate food preferences
Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Clean and sanitize food prep surfaces, countertops, and the dining room after each meal
Label, date, and store food items properly using FIFO rotation
Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures per food safety guidelines
Restock dining room and kitchen supplies as needed
Report resident food refusals or low intake to the nurse or Dietary Manager promptly
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred — will consider all applicants
Prior food service experience a plus — not required
Food Handler Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions including diet orders
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Compassionate and patient when interacting with elderly residents
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
