Hours: 8:00am- 5:00pm Mon-Thur 8:00am-12:00pm Friday
Education Requirement: Minimum high school diploma
Experience: Prefer at least 1 year experience; not required
Reports to: Clinic Office Manger
Summary:
Clerical position responsible for maintaining assigned providers schedules in accordance with their preference, keeping it adequately filled while maintaining a reasonable workload, and prep of patients’ chart prior to appointment time. This position involves communication with patients, caregivers, providers, and fellow employees, so excellent customer service skills and professionalism is required at all times. Position requires organization, capability of multitasking, accuracy and attention to details and flexibility. Individual must be dependable, punctual, and follow all clinic policies at all times.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
o Rotating both office locations: Huntsville Office- 810 Franklin Street suite A Huntsville, Al 35801 / Madison Office- 1041 Balch Rd Ste 310 Madison, AL 35758
o Professionally and kindly communicating when addressing and answering questions with patients, caregivers, providers, or staff
o Correctly identify patients and maintaining up to date demographics.
o Obtaining all information needed for EMR including but not limited to: demographics, insurance, required paperwork, and inputting or scanning into the EMR
o Obtaining patient authorization for medical records release (HIPPA Compliance)
o Collecting co-pays and payments (cash, credit, check)
o Balancing cash drawer and cash box daily
o Answering questions about minor billing issues
o Maintain medical records request in a timely fashion
o Maintain cleanliness of waiting room, waiting room restroom room, and desk area.
o Answering the phone as needed.
o Dress is clean, neat, and within clinic policy at all times
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
