Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with product demos, explaining features and benefits to encourage purchases
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are well-presented through effective merchandising
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves regularly and conducting stock checks as needed
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions
- Supervising experience or ability to oversee team tasks during shifts is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written formats; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations
- Knowledge of retail store product lines, merchandising techniques, and inventory management
- Experience in grocery or general retail stores is advantageous
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to conduct product demos confidently while engaging customers effectively
- Familiarity with cashiering procedures, cash drawer handling, and basic math skills for daily operations
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or online
