On-Call/Part-Time Driver for Occasional Driving in NYC Needed.
We are a visiting doctor service in NYC and we need an on-call/part-time driver for occasional driving on weekdays and weekends to cover vacations, sick days, and other absences. No lifting, carrying, or any hard labor, driving only. The right candidate must have his/her car with a working cigar lighter to charge phones/tablets/smartphones, and a GPS unit for backup. The driver will work as an independent contractor (Form 1099). The compensation is $24/hour + toll + congestion charge paid as a direct deposit in a two-week payment cycle and the driver is responsible for gas expenses. The job does NOT require intense, all-day driving. The driver will pick up the provider mostly in either Brooklyn or Queens, drive to a smaller designated area in either Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan or the Bronx (not Staten Island) where the provider will see twelve patients at their home addresses, then take the doctor back home. There is an opportunity for the driver to eventually secure a permanent position as well.
