By afternoon, you're lining a ball diamond or pruning a tree in one of our beautiful Village parks. When the snow flies, you're behind the wheel keeping our streets safe. What you’ll be doing:
Parks & Natural Resources
Mow, plant, prune, and maintain the parks, trails, athletic fields, and splash pads that make our Village shine.
Streets & Maintenance
Plow snow, patch pavement, install signs, stripe crosswalks, and keep Village facilities in top shape year-round.
Water & Sewer
Maintain hydrants, mains, meters, lift stations, and sewers. Keep the water flowing and the system running clean.
What we're looking for:
- · High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- · Valid Wisconsin Driver's License; CDL required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- · Comfortable operating heavy equipment: dump trucks, backhoes, skid steers, sewer jetters, and more
- · Able to work independently, problem-solve in the field, and communicate well with the public
- · Physically able to work outdoors in all seasons, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces
- · Must live within 30 miles of DeForest Village Hall for emergency response availability

Hours:
Typically Mon–Thu 7:00 am–4:00 pm · Fri 7:30 am–2:00 pm but can vary. Weekend on-call and snow emergency coverage is part of the gig —
