Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Sorority House Director to oversee the daily operations and management of our sorority residence. This vital role involves creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment for residents while ensuring the house runs smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and experience in supervising household activities. As the heart of our community, you will foster a positive atmosphere that promotes safety, cleanliness, and camaraderie among residents.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise daily house operations.
* Property Management: Live in and reside overnight at the Kappa Kappa Gamma house.
* Manage the daily operations of the house and provide regular reports to the House Board.
* Report maintenance issues, cleanliness, food, and vendor issues to the House Board.
* Prepare the chapter house for opening and closing, including coordinating move-in and move-out, and scheduling cleaning and routine maintenance.
* Maintain inventory of supplies such as cleaning products, linens, kitchen essentials, and household equipment.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and house policies at all times.
* Ensure that all life-safety equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
* Schedule life safety inspections as requested and required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Greek-letter organization, event planning, hospitality, property management, or related fields such as hotel or residential management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management, including cleaning routines, laundry services, and general maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Must read, speak, and write English fluently.
- Meet specified physical requirements of lifting no more than 35 lbs., standing, walking, and climbing stairs multiple times daily.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
