Junior Interior Designer

At Livia Design Group, our Junior Interior Designers play a critical role in helping projects move from concept to completion. This position is ideal for someone who loves both the creative and organizational sides of design and enjoys working closely with talented designers, clients, vendors, and contractors.
As a Junior Interior Designer, you'll support Interior Designers and Senior Designers by helping keep projects organized, presentations polished, schedules on track, and project information accurate. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced designers, contribute to exciting projects, and develop both your technical and design skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Keeping Projects Organized & Moving Forward
- Maintain accurate project information, documentation, selections, specifications, and statuses within Livia Design Group's project management systems.
- Ensure project dashboards, schedules, and tracking tools are current and properly maintained.
- Organize and store project files, drawings, specifications, selections, and other project documentation.
- Schedule meetings, reserve meeting rooms, and prepare materials needed for client and team meetings.
- Take meeting notes and help track follow-up items to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Monitor assigned tasks and help keep projects moving according to established timelines and budgets.
- Supporting the Design Process
- Assist Designers and Senior Designers with design concepts, finish selections, furnishings, materials, and product research.
- Research products, vendors, materials, and industry trends to help create thoughtful and innovative design solutions.
- Create beautiful presentation materials, mood boards, design boards, and visual content for client meetings.
- Coordinate the development of CAD drawings, renderings, and 3D visualizations.
- Help source, organize, and maintain project samples and the design library.
- Helping Bring Designs to Life
- Participate in site visits, field measurements, installations, and project walkthroughs.
- Follow up with clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, and internal team members regarding outstanding project items.
- Assist with project scheduling, procurement coordination, budgeting support, and project tracking.
- Coordinate vendor quotes, product information, order tracking, and delivery updates.

- Support the Design Team wherever needed and contribute to a positive, collaborative culture.

What We're Looking For:
- 1–2 years of experience in an interior design firm or related design environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field, or completion of an accredited design program.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of basic building codes, construction practices, and industry standards.
- Ability to lift and transport design samples and materials as needed.
- Professional, positive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
