We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Audit Accountant to join our high-performing team. This is a permanent role that offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of clients within an established, reputable firm in the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various audit and accounting projects, conducting year-end close processes, and preparing financial statements. This role requires an individual with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the completion of audit engagements in a wide variety of industries and assume responsibility for client satisfaction.

Plan and schedule engagements, determine the audit approach, and prepare engagement budgets.

Supervise and mentor junior staff, review their work for sufficiency of scope and accuracy, and prepare audit reports.

Conduct year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complies with regulatory guidelines.

Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and comply with accounting standards.

Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to managers and partners.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current accounting and audit practices through continuing professional education and by reading professional publications.

Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients, and strive for high levels of client service.

Participate in business development efforts to attract new clients and build existing relationships.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience in a public accounting firm.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.

Proficiency in year-end close processes and preparation of financial statements.

Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards.

Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

High level of integrity and professionalism.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software.

Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
