Duties
- Develop and manage a robust pipeline of freight opportunities through lead generation and prospecting efforts.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and contracts with shippers and carriers to optimize profitability.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and EDI platforms to streamline booking, dispatching, and tracking shipments.
- Coordinate transportation planning and shipping logistics to ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations and FDA regulations where applicable.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing exceptional account management and inside sales support.
- Manage freight brokerage operations including dispatching, data entry, and carrier sales activities.
- Stay informed on trade compliance, 3PL (third-party logistics), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight forwarding practices to ensure seamless logistics solutions.
Requirements
- Must have TRANSFERABLE Book of Business. Minimum of $10,000 in Gross Profit/Month
- Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales.
- Strong background in B2B sales, freight brokerage, or logistics company operations.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software (such as Salesforce or similar), and EDI platforms like AS400.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance, FDA regulations, and shipping logistics.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to generate leads and convert prospects into clients.
- Experience in account management, inside sales, dispatching, pricing strategies, and contracts negotiation.
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor while maintaining high levels of motivation and professionalism.
