We are currently searching for part-time janitorial staff to join our busy facility in the Dayton, Oh area! Positions available are on an evening/weekend shift, based on event schedules.
Role summary
You keep the event center clean, safe, and ready before, during, and after events. This is a flexible, part-time role that fits students or retirees looking to stay active.
Schedule
- Evenings and weekends required
- Shifts vary based on event schedule (nights, some late nights)
Key responsibilities
- Set up and tear down event spaces (tables, chairs, trash stations)
- Clean restrooms, floors, and common areas during and after events
- Manage trash and recycling, remove and replace liners
- Spot clean spills and maintain a presentable environment during events
- Follow closing checklists to reset spaces for the next day
- Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to work scheduled evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Able to lift up to 30–50 lbs (tables, chairs, trash bags)
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Positive attitude and team-oriented when working events
- No prior experience required, training provided
