Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Guard to provide security and protection for our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, military experience, or security operations, with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and maintain a secure environment. This role requires a high level of responsibility, integrity, and alertness to prevent loss and ensure safety.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to stand on post for long periods of time (8-12hrs)
- This position supports the clients existing asset protection team
- Respond promptly to incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified
- Enforce security protocols and access controls to prevent unauthorized entry
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting theft or vandalism
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies as needed
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security preferred
- Valid New York State Security license or certification as required by local regulations
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable
- Excellent conflict management and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail

Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
