Duties
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Administer medications safely following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health stability
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents with special dietary needs
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities to promote safety and well-being
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers while adhering to safe patient lifting practices
- Maintain detailed records of resident care activities, health status updates, and incident reports
Requirements
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and dementia-specific strategies is essential
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is a strong plus
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged for professional development
- Ability to operate standard passenger cars for transportation needs when necessary
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while prioritizing resident safety
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Valid license if operating vehicles on behalf of the facility; compliance with all safety regulations

$20.50 – $25.50 per hour
(Based on education, experience, qualifications, and certifications.)
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals receiving DDA residential services.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and housekeeping.
- Support community integration, recreational activities, employment goals, and independent living skills.
- Complete required documentation and daily progress notes.
- Implement Individual Plans (IP), Behavior Support Plans, and Person-Centered Plans.
- Ensure the health, safety, dignity, and rights of all individuals served.
- Transport individuals to appointments and community activities as needed.
- Participate in staff meetings and required training.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Valid Maryland Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass criminal background and reference checks.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Medication Technician Certification preferred.
Delegated Registered Nurse (RN)

$45.00 – $60.00 per hour
(Based on experience, credentials, and demonstrated qualifications.)
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Candidates must provide documentation demonstrating successful completion of all Maryland DDA-required training and certifications, including any applicable nursing delegation and medication administration requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing oversight and health assessments.
- Conduct nursing evaluations and health care planning.
- Delegate nursing tasks in accordance with Maryland regulations.
- Train and supervise unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Review medication administration procedures.
- Monitor compliance with DDA, COMAR, and Maryland Department of Health requirements.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant DDA experience.
- Proof of all required Maryland DDA training and certifications.
- Strong knowledge of Maryland COMAR regulations and DDA standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
