Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our fine dining establishment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and assisting with various tasks to support the culinary team. Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including OpenTable when necessary.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, demonstrating knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, maintaining cash register integrity.
- Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including resetting tables and organizing supplies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure all guests receive prompt service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
